Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
It's a revolutionary approach that prioritizes the patient-doctor relationship above all else. With DPC, your child gains access to a dedicated pediatrician who knows them deeply, creating an environment where trust, communication, and personalized care thrive. Gone are the complexities of traditional healthcare—no co-pays, no deductibles, no third-party billing. Instead, your child's well-being is our focus, supported by affordable, transparent costs that ensure they receive the attention they deserve.
Experience virtually no waiting time thanks to our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model. Should any unexpected delays occur, rest assured that you'll be promptly informed. As a member, you have the option to explore solutions through Telemedicine, text, or phone consultations, ensuring that your child's health remains a priority even in moments of uncertainty.
No, while both share the membership model of care, there are notable differences. Concierge medical practices often charge higher fees, in addition to billing the patient's health insurance for services. Our DPC model relies solely on membership fees to cover costs and does not bill health insurance for services rendered. Most patients discover that insurance can still cover labs, radiology, referrals, and hospital admissions, making our approach both accessible and comprehensive.

Absolutely! The concept of Direct Primary Care is to be able to access to Dr. Chheda after hours for emergencies. You will not be routed to a triage service or a nurse. Simply call our office and follow the instructions to leave a message for the doctor.
For non-urgent concerns, we kindly request that you hold these questions for the following morning when our office reopens. However, if your child requires IMMEDIATE attention, please dial 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency department. Your child's well-being is our priority.
Vacations are no obstacle to our care. Harmony Pediatrics remains your medical home, even when you're away from home. Through Telemedicine or phone/text consultations, we're here to assist you regardless of your location. In cases where an illness arises, we'll provide support from afar. Depending on the situation, local evaluation or treatment might be recommended. Our commitment to your child's well-being knows no bounds, making sure they receive the care they need, wherever you are.
Indeed! We're excited to partner with an excellent electronic medical record system to offer our families a user-friendly online portal. Absolutely! We believe that accessibility to your doctor is crucial. That's why we're thrilled to offer Telemedicine appointments for our families through Harmony Pediatrics. Whether you're at home or away, you can have your child evaluated via your computer or mobile device. Please note that while telemedicine offers convenience, certain limitations to the examination exist. In-person visits may be recommended following a telemedicine appointment for a comprehensive assessment of your child's condition. Medication prescriptions are at the physician's discretion, based on symptoms and examination.
Harmony Pediatrics follows the recommendations provided by the CDC and American Board of Pediatrics. Please note that we do not accept patients who refuse vaccinations.
To ensure that our services remain readily available to all, we request a 24-hour notice for any cancellations or rescheduled appointments. Appointments missed or canceled/rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a "no-show" fee.
In alignment with our Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, we have transitioned away from accepting any insurance plans. This decision enables us to prioritize personalized care and an enduring patient-doctor relationship, unburdened by the complexities of insurance billing. Our commitment to your child's well-being remains unchanged as we focus on delivering comprehensive, transparent, and accessible healthcare through our membership model.
