Typically starts at 6 weeks of age
Involves crying for more than 3 hours at a time
Usually occurs between 5 PM and midnight
Often related to swallowed air and gas discomfort
First Steps: Check if your baby:
Is hungry
Needs a diaper change
Might be overstimulated
The 5 S’s Solution:
Swaddling
Swinging
Shushing (white noise)
Stomach/Side position
Sucking (pacifier or clean finger)
