We are excited to introduce our virtual appointment option. During this time of uncertainty, there are certain types of appointments that don’t require an in-person visit. It is difficult to maintain a safe distance from others in a busy waiting room, so if you have the following situations, virtual is a great option:

  • rash
  • diarrhea
  • allergies
  • ADHD medication check
  • anxiety

We are also offering virtual appointments from the parking lot. Once the virtual part of the visit is done, we can determine if Dr. Chheda can come to the car to examine your child. This eliminates the need for you to wait in a waiting room. These conditions are appropriate for this type of visit:

  • cold and cough
  • stomach ache
  • possible ear infections

If you aren’t sure, we can let you know. Either way, the first step to your next appointment is the same…call in and request an appointment. If you are interested in a virtual appointment, and your situation is appropriate, you will get a text message with an invitation to the Spruce Health app. We set up the app and took photos along the way so you can get an idea of what some of the process looks like. This was done on an iPhone 11, so your experience on your device may look different.

First we searched the app store:

We found it:

We got it:

And clicked “create a new account.”

Obviously, you choose the patient box.

Now, refer back to the text you received from our office and follow the prompts from there. We hope this makes it easier for you to get the care you need during this uncertain time. If you have trouble, please give us a call. We are here to help.

*Don’t forget to disinfect your phone on a regular basis. It collects all kinds of germs. We touch it and then put it to our faces…and then sometimes hand to the kids so they can play games. Disinfecting a couple of times a day while we are all home together may help slow the spread of illness. This is a good practice for tablets, other touchscreen devices, and shared keyboards, as well.
