GENERAL PEDIATRIC CARE

How Often Should a Child be Seen by a Pediatrician?

As a newborn, wellness checks at Harmony Pediatrics are advised at 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, 36 months, and annually until the age of 21 years. These wellness checks are to ensure that the child is growing and developing according to their specific age. Most children will develop within "average" parameters, while others may have minor variations. Vaccinations may be administered during these visits, as well as specific lab tests and screening tests.

When is a Child too Old for a Pediatrician?

Dr. Chheda is more than happy to see your child until the age of 21 years. Once a relationship is established between your child and the doctor, it is hard to break it. Dr. Chheda has attended her patients’ graduations and weddings.
